During an interview withTV Dailyon December 12, Nam Tae Hyun addressed the rumors involving the female celebrities. Hesaid, "I'm friends with Ryeo Won noona, and Dam Bi noonais her best friend. So I'm just close friends with Dam Bi noona."

He continued, "My personality doesn't fit well with guys when conversing. I tend to fit better with girls so I have more female friends. I think that's why I get involved in dating rumors often but it's because I'm really close to them without boundaries. I really wanted to clarify things but people don't believe me anyway so clarifying is useless."
Nam Tae Hyun also became a hot topic after he was spotted hanging out with Sulli. As for his relationship with the former f(x)member, Nam Tae Hyun said, "I'm close with Sulli's peers so we came to eat together, and we've become very close." He continued, "I think the issue started with the photo of her doing my makeup but we've done a photo shoot together once. At the time, I didn't hire makeup staff because they were so expensive. So Sulli did the makeup for me and that brought us even closer together."
Lastly, Nam Tae Hyun revealed he's currently solo and said, "I want to date but nobody's giving me attention. Because of the dating rumors, they all think I have a girlfriend." He also explained his ideal type, and said, "I prefer someone around my age than older. My former girlfriends were all the same age as me. I like someone the same age who I can learn from. Someone who can motivate me."
