Not only that, BTS' new single is a huge hit as it has already become the 3rd best selling Japanese single for a K-Pop artist in history. Not only that, in just one day, it set a new Japanese singles record for a K-pop artist with the most sales during the first week of release. The previous record was held by TVXQ's "Break Out!" which sold 255,917 copies in the first week back in 2010.
The highest selling Japanese single all-time for a K-pop artist is also TVXQ's "Break Out!" with total sales of 289,412 copies to date. If BTS' gets 20,000 more sales for their 8th Japanese single, they will be the new record holders.
Congratulations BTS!
