Strange elongated clouds foreshadowed earthquake in Pohang?

It has been said that such long clouds are seen approximately two weeks before and 1-2 days (being the shortest time) until an earthquake actually strikes a region. A representative of the Japanese seismic activity association, Hiroharu Sasaki, also has stated, "Earthquake clouds can be spotted before an earthquake hits. The statement has yet to be scientifically proven.

The photos of the strange clouds are gaining much attention in Korea following the recent earthquake in Pohang. The tweet has been retweeted nearly 25,000 times.

Meanwhile, civilians are taking necessary measures in prepping for future events; going through emergency drills and teaching students in class how to act accordingly if and when such an incident were to occur again.
