Korea celebrated its annual Hangul Day on October 9, and to commemorate the creation of the nation's official language, fans of MXM, NU'EST, and Kang Daniel plastered their respective artists' community pages with photos of King Sejong and the historical text documenting the creation of the language. For this particular holiday, fans decided to replace the typical images of their favorite idols with a more symbolic photo for Hangul Day.

Many noted that fans of MXM and NU'EST also ran a similar event for National Liberation Day of Korea. Commenters applauded the considerate actions of fans with, "This is really pleasant to see", "The artists are kind and the fans are kind", "Kang Daniel fans were calling him Kang Dan-E (a nickname he earned during 'Happy Together 3') instead of Daniel so as not to use any foreign words that day", etc.
Happy belated Hangul Day!
