However, it wasn't only the granuloma that was causing the severe pain. Doctors found 17 inches of medical gauze and 4 inches of plastic bands inside Mrs. Kim's body.
The medical supplies were tangled up in parts of her liver and colon. Mrs. Kim ultimately had to remove parts of her organ to completely get rid of the gauze and plastic bands.
According to Mrs. Kim, she has not undergone any type of surgery since she gave birth through a c-section in September of 2002. She claims she has experienced the pain of unknown reason ever since. It's also claimed that she has taken multiple X-rays and CT scans for diagnosis, however, failed to find the exact cause.
Mrs. Kim believes the medical supplies were left in her body when she was giving birth. Currently, Mrs. Kim and her family are demanding an apology and compensation to the hospital.
A rep from the hospital commented, "We have received the victim's requests and it's currently under adjustment. The exact compensation cost has not yet been confirmed."
