Brand New Music has decided to end their lawsuit.
On June 5, the CEO of Brand New Music, Rhymer Kim, made the announcement on his social media account to inform the public about the agency's plans to take strict legal action against malicious commenters. While the statement had annouced the lawsuit would be followed through without agreements, it looks like they will be ending the lawsuit early.
Brand New Music announced,
Hello, this is Brand New Music.
Previously, our label had filed a lawsuit against posts defaming our label's Lee Dae Hwi, Lim Young Min, Park Woo Jin, and Kim Dong Hyun by spreading false information and attacking their character.
The person who made these posts admitted their fault in spreading false information, reflected on their actions, and wrote a public apology online. As they made a quick effort to solve the situation, we conferred with the artists and decided to act favorably. We will soon be submitting a cancellation of our lawsuit.
This cancellation will be an exception, and our label will be taking strict, strong legal action against those defaming our label artists' character through spreading false information on and offline, using their portrait rights, and more.
We sincerely thank fans who always cherish Brand New Music.
Thank you.
