On July 25, reports claimed that Mnet and JYP Entertainment were working together to create 'Sixteen' season 2. 'Sixteen' was a girl group survival program which consisted of 16 JYPE trainees competing for a spot in the label's newest girl group at the time, TWICE.
JYPE told news outlets in response to the reports, "It's not a season 2 of 'Sixteen', but it's true that we are discussing a new program with Mnet. Nothing has been confirmed yet."
