On July 31, CEMA (Korea Entertainment Management Association) stated that the ethics committee has reviewed the dispute and materials submitted by TOP Media and testimony by L.Joe. They noted that this case is important in regards to the issue of exclusive contracts between labels and their artists.
The committee stated, "We have also summoned L.Joe to testify for a fair arbitration. Until the legal matter is resolved, L.Joe will be strictly prohibited from making any contact in addition to signing an exclusive contract with other labels."
It was also revealed that L.Joe had attended the contract dispute arbitration a total of 17 times.
Meanwhile, the idol star's contract with TOP Media ends in January 2018 and TOP Media wants L.Joe to continue promoting with TEEN TOP and fulfill his duties until the end of the contract. However, L.Joe wants to focus on his solo activities and filed for nullification of his contract back in February.
