Hyung Eun of BULLDOK is confirmed to have withdrawn from the girl group.
It looks like the rumors of Hyung Eun leaving BULLDOK following the controversy surrounding her statements about BTS' V were true as the group's agency KCONIC Entertainment has confirmed her leave. The agency posted to Instagram on May 18 that Hyung Eun had actually left the group this past April 20 due to health issues, and she had stopped promoting with BULLDOK in late March.
KCONIC posted, "Hyung Eun's health is the most important, and though we expected her health to improve, her diagnosis said her recovery would take an extended period of time. After a long discussion with Hyung Eun, we accepted her request to withdraw." The agency also confirmed BULLDOK would continue as a 4-member group, and Hyung Eun planned to take her own career path after her health improves.
The label further apologized for Hyung Eun's comments about BTS member V and the surrounding controversy, stating, "After Hyung Eun's withdrawal was confirmed this past April, an issue the agency was not aware of arose. Though it occurred after her withdrawal, we sincerely apologize to the BTS fans and other associated people who were hurt by our previous labelmate Hyung Eun's careless words."
As previously reported, Hyung Eun has been under fire for her rudely talking about the group BTS without using honorifics and suggesting V had athlete's foot.
