On May 14, the Seogwipo Citrus Museum held a grand opening ceremony for 'Kwon Ji Yong Forest No. 1.' The project first began in August of 2016 with the help of organization 'Tree Planet' and fan site 'Always-GD.' Avid fans decided to dedicate a forest in light of G-Dragon's upcoming 29th birthday on August 18.
The forest has been created within the premises of the museum along with a total of 50 citrus trees being planted on site. In addition, Tree Planet will be donating all funds to charity.
The opening message to 'Kwon Ji Yong Forest No. 1' reads, "This is the first celebrity tree ever to be established on the beautiful terrain of Jeju Island thanks to all the dedicated fans who helped to create 'G-Dragon Forest.' We hope that many will remember such a renowned event in the years to come."
