On April 4, a rep from YG Entertainment revealed that Dave Meyers initially declined the offer to film WINNER's MV for ''Really Really''. Dave Meyers reportedly declined because he "never filmed an idol group's MV and isn't confident about doing so."

However, Yang Hyun Suk, who has been a longtime fan of Dave Meyers, strongly desired for him to film WINNER's MV. To make this possible, Yang Hyun Suk used CL, who's reportedly friends with the director, as his messenger and explained that WINNER is not just any idol group but artists who produce their own music. Yang Hyun Suk added that it's okay for him to decline but to just listen to ''Really Really'' one time. 

After listening to WINNER's song, a rep from Dave Meyers reportedly said, "It's different than an idol group's song that he had in mind. The schedule is tight but he wants to work with WINNER."

Ultimately, WINNER was able to work with Dave Meyers for their new MV. It's reported that CL visited the sets to support her labelmates and asked Dave Meyers to take good care of them. 

In the past, Dave Meyers have produced music videos for famous pop stars such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Britney Spears, and more.
