The 'People's Cabinet's special is a special where the public themselves suggest political changes that they feel are necessary, and the members speak on behalf of the people. As 'Infinity Challenge' is well-known for being a socially aware, progressive program, many were looking forward to the special and sent various suggestions in. The preview for the April 1 episode showed five National Assembly members representing each of Korea's political parties.
However, the Liberty Korea Party took up an issue with Assemblywoman Kim Hyun Ah, whom the show chose to represent them. Spokesperson Jung Joon Gil of the Liberty Korea Party revealed they had filed an injunction against 'Infinity Challenge' and said, "It's a broadcast with improper casting, and one that turns away from rules and fairness. We did not want to make the issue of our injunction against the show public. Legal matters and political matters should be separate. It's a matter that the court should decide according to law."
The problem that the Liberty Korea Party claimed was that Assemblywoman Kim Hyun Ah has been attending official Bareun Party events. The Bareun Party is made of assemblypersons who defected from the Liberty Korea Party because they opposed former President Park Geun Hye. They felt it unfair that there were basically two assemblypersons from the Bareun Party and none from the Liberty Korea Party.
However, 'Infinity Challenge' asserted that the focus is not on each person's party or political stance, but on the nation and its people.
Do you think the Liberty Korea Party will succeed?
