On January 12, a press conference was held for MBC's new drama, 'Missing 9', in Mapo District, Seoul where producer Choi Byung Gil, Jung Kyung Ho, Baek Jin Hee, and other cast members attended.
Regarding any relation to the Sewol Ferry accident, Producer Choi claimed, "I recall hearing a similar remark about my previous work, 'Angry Mom'. However, just like then, I did not create this story to link it to the Sewol Ferry accident in any way."
He continued, "Being a disaster story, I wanted to illustrate how people would naturally react in such a situation. After an accident, there will be people who try to investigate and others who try to interrupt that investigation. Instead of picking a side, I would like to present a universal message."
'Missing 9' is a spectacular mystery drama, telling the story of 9 people who happened to survive a devastating plane crash. Stranded on a deserted island, they must work together to survive the wilderness.
Sounds more like 'Lost' to me. What are your thoughts?
