KBS America recently announced, "ABC has decided to create a pilot broadcast of a remake of 'Good Doctor', and it is the first time that a Korean drama has been remade into an American program."
The American pilot version of 'Good Doctor' will be written by the creator of 'House', David Shore, and produced by Sony Pictures. KBS America also added, "As opposed to the script that pitched in for a CBS pilot program, this script will mostly use the original script, signifying that the emotions of Korean dramas do speak to a broader audience, thus opening the way for more Korean dramas in the future."
'Good Doctor', starring Joo Won and Moon Chae Won, told the romance story of a doctor who suffers from savant syndrome, and his sunbae doctor who helps him through his difficulties.
