Song Hye Kyohas kept her promise.
The actress donated 150,000,000 KRW (~$124,357 USD) to 'Beautiful Foundation' on December 28. The money was won from a legal battle against 'J.ESTINA,' who was alleged to have used Song Hye Kyo's images illegally.

The court case started last April when the jewelry brand was found using the actress' photos as a part of their marketing campaign illegally. J.ESTINA had an agreement with 'Descendants of the Sun' which allowed for the use of images and media from the series for advertisement. However, J.ESTINA used Song Hye Kyo's image and video outside of the drama without her permission.During the court proceedings, Song Hye Kyo had stated that when she wins the compensation, she would use it to help budding designers.
The court case recently closed with the Seoul Central Court's suggested amount of damages, which the jewelry brand agreed to pay and the actress accepted.
