All Korean men are required to serve in the military before the age of 31. Currently, Ji Chang Wook is 29, which means he has to enlist next year. The actor shared thoughts about the issue in a recent interview.
Ji Chang Wook said, "I'm looking to enlist sometime next year. I think it'll be a different life but fun. I'm curious, worried, and also excited about how I'll survive among the dongsaengs in their 20's."
He also revealed plans before enlistment, saying, "I'm looking to do another production before I enlist. I'm thinking something in the field of dramas or film."
