Security footage of a 5-year-old child getting thrown to the ground by his daycare teacher is shocking many people in Korea.
The Gyeongnam Police Department announced on November 16 that they have arrested a daycare teacher, surname Hwang, who is accused of grabbing the 5-year-old boy by his arms and throwing him onto the ground on November 11 inside the daycare facility.
In the released footage, Hwang can be seen lifting up the boy and then throwing him on the floor. She then drags the boy into a dark room nearby. The police report states that Hwang testified, "The boy went out of my control and was running around the entrance of the daycare, so I disciplined him."
When the boy's parents picked him up, they found their son with a bloody nose and bruises. The parents, shocked, uploaded the security footage of the abuse that they had obtained onto an online community, seeking support and help from others. They wrote, "When we asked the daycare what had happened, they said that our son fell and hit his face on a plastic chair. But when we went to a hospital, the doctor said that the injury would take 2 weeks to heal. Besides the physical injury, our child could not sleep for several days."

The daycare center has since removed the teacher but they're still claiming, "There were some rough actions but there was no abuse."
