It's no secret that Park Bo Gum and Song Joong Ki are frequently mentioned together due to their similarities. Not only are they both incredibly handsome, but both actors gained tremendous popularity and success after their hit dramas this year. In fact, Song Joong Ki is called the #1 trending actor of the first half of 2016 while Park Bo Gum is called the same title for the second half of the year.
Ilgan Sports asked Park Bo Gum about this topic during a recent interview, and Park Bo Gum shared his sincere thoughts in response. He said, "Comparisons aside, I'm just very thankful that I'm able to receive such a great amount of love and support. And whenever I hear that [comparison between me and Song Joong Ki], I tend to motivate myself more. It also makes me think that I need to engage in acting and also in life more honestly and smartly."

Park Bo Gum modestly added, "I personally think that I was very lacking. If I can do it again, then I want to fix the parts that I lack and do better."
In addition, Park Bo Gum shared the advice he received from Song Joong Ki, saying, "At first, I was lost and lacked confidence in my acting. Whenever I felt that way I prayed, but also turned to Joong Ki hyung for advice. Hyung then told me that I need to trust myself and do my best. We also went out to eat together and he was so supportive toward me."
