The producers of currently airing MBC drama 'W' have apologized for broadcasting an actual phone number.
On the recent episode, the full 11 digits of a phone number that Lee Jong Suk called to reach Han Hyo Joo was aired without any blurring.
The digits turned out to be an actual phone number, and hundreds of calls were made to the number following the episode. The owner of the number then portrayed frustration through his Kakao Talk status, stating, "I am not Lee Jong Suk from 'W'. I am receiving more than 300 calls. Please do not call me..."
As a result, the producers, after apologizing, announced that they would be adjusting the mistake in later airings of the episode. They also claimed that they have reached out to the owner of the number to personally apologize.
