Ji Chang Wook talked about his skyrocketing popularity on the September 27 episode of 'Taxi,' more specifically, about his popularity in China.
When the MCs congratulated the actor on his recent Chinese drama recording first place in viewership ratings, he laughed shyly and answered, "The drama did really well." The MCs further informed him that he placed first on a Chinese portal site's list of most popular Korean male celebrities, to which Ji Chang Wook responded in an astonished tone that he had no idea.

The actor told the MCs, "A launching event for a Chinese brand was canceled because so many fans swarmed the event. As soon as I arrived at the Chinese hotel, they refused to let me out," adding that the sponsor of the event even threatened to shut off the power supply at the location of the event if he dared to step out of the hotel.
