Netizens have laid out a comparison between Girls' Generation's Tiffany and AOA's Seolhyun and Jimin for being involved in similar controversies.
Back in May, Seolhyun and Jimin received criticism for their lack of historical knowledge on 'Channel AOA' and, apologized to the public through their Instagrams.

Netizens, noting the similarity between the two AOA members's controversy and Tiffany's ongoing controversy, claim that Seolhyun and Jimin handled matters better than Tiffany, with more sincere apologies and sincere actions. First, they claimed that Tiffany's apology failed to address the issue specifically. She does not mention the rising sun flag, Korean Independence Day, or any of the sensitive factors that led to the controversy in the first place. Netizens believe Tiffany wrote such a vague apology in consideration of her Japanese fans.
On the other hand, they claimed that Seolhyun and Jimin addressed the issue with a detailed apology directly stating their wrongdoings. The two AOA members also supposedly took 3 months off from using SNS, and were reportedly captured reading history books during their flights. Furthermore, some reports have claimed that FNC Entertainment even provided the members consulting with a history professor named Choi Tae Sung.
Ultimately, the comparison is leading to even more criticism toward Tiffany. What do you think of the comparison between the current and past controversies?
