YooA had said herself in an interview that she was a dance major at Sejong University, and it was also listed that was on her profile on portal sites. However, it turned out that she was actually from Sejong Univeristy's Global Knowledge Institute's practical dance major. The Global Knowledge Institute might be part of the Sejong University, but is considered a separate institution where the students cannot take the same classes as the regular Sejong University students, and many of the classes are taken online. (Bluntly put, it is also considered by many to be the 'lesser' or 'lower ranking' university.)
To this, WM Entertainment said, "Oh My Girl's YooA's education has been wrongly marked during an interview, so we will be fixing it to the 'Sejong University Global Knowledge Institute practical dance major'. We apologize about not realizing about the wrongly marked portal sites and articles, and about fixing this late."
However, more issues with YooA had come on. Recently on 'Radio Star', YooA had said she decided to be a singer because of an incidence with a stalker during her high school days. But she had made a post before she was in middle school to a dance academy, writing, "I'm going to be in middle school this year, so am I too young to attend? My dream is to be a singer."
Not only that, there had been an article where YooA claimed to have recorded 13.00 seconds on a 100m run during her elementary school. However, a national event silver medalist on the elementary level ran 13.15 on the 100m run, and YooA didn't even make it past the preliminaries on 'Idol Star Athletic Championships' on the 50m run.
