On the August 2 broadcast of 'Girl Spirit,' group B prepared for and showcased their individual stages.
The first contestant to show off her stuff was BESTie's U.JI. Before U.JI stepped on the stage, the idol opened up about her brief time in EXID and her trainee days.
U.JI said, "I was a trainee for four years starting when I was 19 with the goal of debuting [as a singer]. I debuted under EXID in 2012 and promoted for one month. But I eventually left that company. I decided that I'd never be a singer again."

The idol continued, "I thought it'd be impossible for me to be a singer. But regret remained inside me. That's when I realized. That I'm desperate to be a singer. So I debuted again under BESTie. In the beginning, there were no comments. But when EXID succeeded, they said I betrayed [EXID] and called me 'turncoat.' I read all the hate comments."
U.JI ended on a positive note, saying, "After I fulfilled my dream, there were more positives to offset the hard times. I was especially close to Hani. Save for the times we slept, we spent all our time together. I hope that people will view BESTie and EXID separately."
We need to protect those who are using the internet, not promote a culture that allows for malicious comments to spread and become something that is seen as just normal. This is not something that governments can solve, but it is something that each of us must take responsibility for and set a positive example for others to follow.
