The comedian's label, FNC Entertainment, made an official announcement on July 28, stating, "Jung Hyung Don, who is currently taking a break from broadcasts for his poor health conditions, made the difficult and final decision to leave MBC's 'Infinity Challenge'. His conditions still will not allow for him to return to the show, and the prolonged delay of his comeback has only overwhelmed him. He is also not confident enough to handle the pressure of 'Infinite Challenge', and due to the overwhelming thoughts of facing such mental struggles again, he made the final decision to leave the show."

Representatives of 'Infinity Challenge' also added, "Jung Hyung Don, who has recovered quite a bit, expressed desires to return to the show back in May. We've discussed specific plans for his comeback; however, the pressure overwhelmed Jung Hyung Don again."
They continued, "The 'Infinity Challenge' staff and members dearly wished for Jung Hyung Don's recovery and return. However, we realized that we can be overwhelming and pressuring for Jung Hyung Don. Now we only wish for his full recovery, and will continue to cheer him on."
