A 51-year-old male high school teacher who reportedly sexually harassed 18 female students was sentenced to one year in prison during his first trial.�
Furthermore, another female teacher (55) at the same school was said to have been penalized with a 5 million KRW (~$4,402 USD) fine for sexually degrading and insulting the students.�
The Busan District Court revealed the details of their ruling on July 18, announcing that they have sentenced a 51-year-old teacher employed at a Busan private high school to one year in prison and ordered the compulsory completion of an 80-hour long sexual violence prevention program.�
The sentencing confirmed that the teacher sexually assaulted 18 female students by inappropriately touching their chest, buttocks, waist, thigh areas, and pressing his body against them for a period spanning from June 2014 to September 2015. It was reported that the teacher, regardless of the place or time, made a frequent habit of touching the students in classrooms, hallways, staff area, cafeteria, and even during class hours, study hall, and counseling sessions.
The teacher allegedly called one female student out into the hall for listening to music last June and told her, "Kids these days are quick to sue. Let's go somewhere without surveillance cameras." He then led her to a staircase and reportedly pressed up against her for three minutes.�

Further, the charges of another 55-year-old teacher from the same school, who degraded female students with inappropriate sexual remarks, were acknowledged to be true by the courts.�
The teacher insulted her students, "You little shits, there's nothing you guys can do but have sex. All you have to do is meet a man and give birth to a baby. None of you can study but you can give birth just fine without even being taught how to do it."�
