10cm's Kwon Jung Yeol criticized for his inappropriate joke regarding MAMAMOO's Whee In

10cm and MAMAMOO held a joint concert titled 'Yeol Moo Concert' this past June 12 at Yes24 Live Hall. It was during this concert that Kwon Jung Yeol uttered a remark that upset MAMAMOO fans and made the other concertgoers uncomfortable.

Right before 10cm and Whee In started covering Jason Mraz's "Lucky," they made some brief remarks and sat down on the chairs that were on stage. Whee In, who was wearing a short skirt, covered the lower part of her body with a blanket that a staff member brought out. As the staff member was placing the blanket on Whee In's lap, Kwon Jung Yeol commented lightly, "That could be a great disservice to the male fans," joking that Whee In should be left exposed for the viewing pleasure of the male audience members. 

Kwon Jung Yeol's remark soon became a hot issue online, with many people of the opinion that his comment was inappropriate and entirely uncalled for. 

Netizens commented,  "He did add, 'That's not the case, right?' at the end but for the male fans who weren't thinking [what he said aloud], they must have been offended because [Kwon Jung Yeol] made that comment as if every guy was thinking like that. I don't think he needed to make that comment. It's not polite to Whee In or the guys [who attended the concert]," "I guess he doesn't know what he said could be a disservice to women...though it was not even a disservice but just the wrong comment to make..." "Why would a married man say something like that. He makes jokes of that class; I personally really liked 10cm's music and listened to it a lot so I'm very disappointed. What he said seriously ruined the good feelings I got from their music," and more.
