Apparently, some of these insects are full of protein which is enough to replace meat out of your diet altogether. Plus, eating insects is more environmentally friendly since fewer resources and waste go into procuring them. Though eating insects may have its benefits, a majority of people are still squeamish when it comes to actually eating them.
That is why a researcher like Park Joo Heon have worked diligently on finding methods to incorporate insects into dishes without making people want to gag or lose their appetites. Park and others at a research institute dedicated to studying insects for culinary usage channeled all their efforts into getting rid of the look and taste of them in dishes.
At a small restaurant called Papillon's Kitchen, Park Joo Heon develops delicious dishes out of insect powder and oil, making pastas, croquettes, and even cookies! The best part is you won't taste or see the insects, yet you'll get all the nutritional benefits such as protein and even fats.
So, whaddaya say? Would you ever try an insect-based dish knowing that it contained insects or nah?
