You see food trucks everywhere nowadays and it's all thanks to the trailblazer Roy Choi. The Korean American chef has earned a spot on Time's "100 Most Influential People List."
The short piece on Time's website was written by the charismatic Anthony Bourdain and he eloquently wrote, "Roy Choi first changed the world when he elevated the food-truck concept from 'roach coach' to highly sought-after, ultra-hot-yet-democratic rolling restaurant. It was a new entrepreneurial model that allowed talented culinarians to make their mark without hundreds of thousands of dollars in investor money. Choi's Kogi trucks also pioneered the use of social media as a marketing tool."
An awesome chef but an even more awesome person, a well deserved spot for this pioneer. Congratulations Roy Choi!
