According to aggregate ticketing data from the Korean Film Council, 'Insane' mobilized 42,206 moviegoers on the first day (total of 46,747 so far), topping the box office.

'Insane' is Kang Ye Won and Lee Sang Yoon's first time at the thriller genres, and it's clear that movie buffs are anticipating how well the two actors will do the genre justice. If that's not proof enough that people couldn't wait to see the movie, then chew over this--as soon as it premiered, 'Insane' was first film in reservation rates.
The premise is definitely one that will get you want to watch the movie, especially if you like thriller/mystery genres. A woman is taken against her will to a psychiatric hospital, tortured and injected with drugs, and released a year later. The records that the woman kept is sent to a TV producer, who is shocked by the details he reads in the notebook, and he determines to get the bottom of this mystery.
