Rapper Iron has been named as 1 of 10 individuals in the music industry involved in the recent marijuana scandal.
On April 1, it was reported that Iron is being investigated by prosecution for smoking marijuana multiple times. Rumors say that Iron has been under investigation since last year, and though his former agency denied knowing anything about the case, reps didn't deny that he was called in for questioning.
According to reports, the rapper was exposed when 23-year-old composer and producer Kang's bag was stolen while he was in the sauna. Though police caught the thief, they were alarmed by Kang's odd behavior and eyes and requested a drug test. He tested positive for marijuana use and admitted his guilt, sparking an investigation that led to the charge of 9 other individuals affiliated with the music industry.
Those questioned alleged that they bought marijuana through the internet and used it to boost confidence and focus.
As previously reported, the Seoul Seocho Police Department booked popular hip hop artist A (24), a hip hop idol member, a former first-generation idol group member, a concert organizer, trainees, and more for consistently smoking marijuana. Reports said that one hip hop artist has been active as a producer, while another won second place on a hip hop competition program. The artists are currently under investigation for illegally using the drug at their own homes and each other's homes since March of 2015.
