LF Co., Ltd, a trading company that specializes in jewelry, is showing no signs of remorse or apologizing toward the family of Won So Yeon, the young woman who hanged herself because she was allegedly being bullied by the co-workers at the company.
Won's mother Park Geon Rim and other relatives guarded Won's passing on to the next world in solemn silence, mourning deeply the loss of a beloved family member.
In an interview with media outlet Insight, Park Geon Rim said, "My daughter hanged herself not one month after starting work as an intern because she was ostracized at the workplace. Too many youngsters are driven to the point of despair tied to the fetters of an internship. These major corporations just use these youngsters as interns like they are perishable goods and chuck them afterwards. Interns have the right to be protected but the Korean corporations' culture isn't changing."

Even though Won's text messages indicate that she may have been bullied, LF is simply recycling the same response of "No details have yet been revealed."
With tears welling in her eyes, Park said, "So Yeon's lifelong wish was to be a designer but she didn't get to fully live out her dream and died. She studied design using money from part time jobs and she was so happy when she got into LF as an intern."
Park determined that she will refuse to hold a funeral for her daughter until LF 'officially apologizes' and they restore her reputation.
She also revealed her intent to request an official investigation into the matter and expose just how unfairly treated she was at the company.
