A man who lured women and raped them under the guise of giving them a job was sentenced.
On March 7, the Supreme Court of South Korea revealed that they penalized 47-year-old advert company CEO Kim to three years and six months in prison and compulsory completion of a 120-hour long educational program on sexual assault for charges of rape and sexual abuse.
Kim was arrested on charges of uploading a job posting online which stated that he was 'looking to hire a caregiver' back in October of 2014. When women in their twenties came over for interviews, Lee would touch them inappropriately and, even worse, rape them. Kim was confirmed to have sexually assaulted a total of two women and sexually harassed five women. Photos of the naked women he captured back in August 2013 were also discovered by the authorities.
During Kim's first trial, the courts had sentenced him to five years in prison. However, during Kim's second trial, the sentence was reduced to 3 years and 6 months. Kim had protested the court's decision, claiming, "The penalty is too heavy so it's unfair." However, Supreme Court was firm in its ruling, reaffirming the lower court's decision.
