The March 7 episode of SBS's 'Same Bed Different Dreams,' a mother who was worried about her daughter's job as a mukbang (eating broadcast) BJ (broadcast jockey) guested to consult the MC panel about her concerns.
Her daughter, BJ WooAng, took the stage, telling the audience that she quit her job at a company and made mukbang BJ into her full-time career.
When the MCs asked about her income, WooAng answered, "I've been a mukbang BJ for a little over 200 days. Excluding the fees, I've earned around 40~50 million KRW (~$33,333-41,667 USD)."

Other BJ's were present on this episode, including BJ Seya, who was introduced as 'the BJ who placed first for 2014 yearly income.' BJ Seya said, "Sometimes I make 100 million KRW (~$83,334 USD) in a month. I've made over 1 billion KRW (~$833,340 USD) one year," making the jaws of everyone on set drop.
Another BJ, who goes by BJ 'Vast Library (don't ask..),' explained, "Everyone misunderstands, but I'm not a BJ who earns a lot of balloon stars (form of payment). But I do earn around 50 million KRW (~$41,667 USD) a month from YouTube views and ad deals."
