G-Friend's Yerin opened up and got personal on the February 29 episode of SBS's variety show, 'Same Bed Different Dreams,' when a mother relayed her concerns about her teenage son.
Yerin said on the show, "When I first said I wanted to be a singer, my mother told me, 'Where'd that come from? Just go to your room and study.' I was so hurt by that that I didn't bring up my dream to be a singer again for a few years in case I would get in trouble. I lied, saying I wanted to be a nurse. If your parents don't believe in you, the scar is really big, so I understand [the teenager]. I really couldn't dance. I was extremely bad at dancing. To the point I was criticized."
Yoo Jae Suk threw in, "You dance really well now," and Kim Gu Ra added consolation with, "I thought she was Michael Jackson." Yerin, who was growing teary-eyed, couldn't help but smile at this, saying she's about to cry. Yuju explained that it was all thanks to her hard work to the surprise of everybody there.
An emotional Yerin concluded, telling the mother, "I wish you would trust [your son] and support him." The mother grew teary eyed, too, at listening to her heartfelt words.
