The February 5 episode of Mnet's 'Produce 101' drew a group battle among the contestants, who had formed groups consisting of five members, each from a different agency.

Heo Chan Mi, who was selected by the other members as the main vocalist in her group, chose to perform Girls' Generation's "Into the New World." Her selection was an apt choice especially considering that she used to be an SM trainee in the past. Heo Chan Mi said, "I could have been a Girls' Generation member and singing this song, I got a whole new feeling and got a lot of thoughts."
