Yet again, another beautiful pair of ladies are seen trendsetting in the same styles! Won't lie, from the moment I saw this outfit, I just didn't care for it on either of them. It's not that the dress is hideous but ...where is the 'wow factor' fans, including myself, are looking for? At the end of the day, I gotta set IU to the side because Seolhyun is the only thing making this dress work in my book.
What I appreciate about IU's fashion sense is that she decorates it well with various accessories such as a funky patterned clutch and matching pair of shades. And yet, despite all the additions, this dress is better suited on Seolhyun for one fine reason: it highlights her beautifully tanned skin! Unlike IU, the dress makes Seolhyun appear healthier with a taller figure and vibrant skin tone in comparison to IU's paleness. It is more favorable to wear the skirt a bit longer, rather than shorter like IU, because it hugs Seolhyun's body in a beautiful way that I can see why she has received much attention lately for her apple hips and fine figure. Seolhyun's long hair casted to the side also shapes out her lovely facial features. The dress isn't too distracting and looks comfortable, so that is the only plus side I can see in wearing it. However, at the end of the day, this dress isn't really award winning in my book and should be as easily forgotten as that black-and-blue/white-and-gold dress phenomenon.
