One of YG Entertainment's longest tenured artists will be leaving the entertainment company. On January 8, it was reported that rapper and producer Masta Wu will be departing YG to establish his own label.
A representative from YG Entertainment stated to the media that they will be supporting Masta Wu's future plans and promotions despite his decision to leave the company.

Meanwhile, Masta Wu made his debut for YG back in 2003 with his album 'Masta Peace.' Over the last couple of years he made appearances with Dok2 on 'Show Me The Money 3' and even released a single with iKON's Bobby and B.I. through a hip hop project under YG Entertainment back in 2014.
