That is precisely what happened on December 20 to the unlucky people who were eating at a restaurant in Gongju City, who had no idea what was coming to them. A CCTV captured the chaos and pandemonium that ensued the moment following the patrons noticed the ceiling dangerously shaking. Some customers were even seen jumping on tables to try to escape before the ceiling crashed down on them. Eventually the lights go out, and the cameras which were attached the the ceiling fall and black out. 

From the incident, a total of 12 people suffered injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. 

The restaurant was found to have underwent major interior construction and renovations in September after the type of business changed. 

Police speculate that the ceiling framework couldn't handle the weight of the plaster and are currently looking into the exact cause of the accident.
