When the results of the experts' opinions were aggregated, the consensus for 'best rookie group' was announced to be G-Friend, earning half, or 14 of the 28 votes!
Some of the experts justified their choice saying, "After G-Friend's debut track 'Glass Bead,' they became a hot topic with another hit, namely 'Me Gustas Tu.' They succeeded in spreading their music far and wide to people of all ages, and their image of amicably approaching different generations left a good impression."

Seventeen placed second as they received five votes and iKON placed third with four votes.
On Seventeen, the experts said, "As a rookie group, they recorded tremendous album sales. Even though they are not from one of the big three labels, they deliver meticulously prepared performances and possess solid confidence."
iKON was said to be a group that "swept music charts with every song they released such as 'My Type,' 'Rhythm Ta,' and 'Apology,' and as a rookie group, proved their ticket-selling power by not only holding their debut concert at Olympic Gymnastic Arena, the biggest venue in Korea, but also by holding another solo concert to take place next year on January 30 and 31."
