Jay Park released his album 'Worldwide', but it's not just the music video for his title song "You Know" that's been causing controversy. Some listeners of the album track "F*CKBOY" are claiming that the lyrics seem to be pointed towards J.Y. Park, the head of JYP Entertainment.
As many of you know, Jay Park was formerly a JYPE artist as well as a member of the popular idol group 2PM before he went on to create his own label, AOMG. This history between Jay Park and J.Y. Park has caused speculation that some of the lyrics for "F*CKBOY" are allegedly written about J.Y. Park.
The following lines from the track especially are causing raised eyebrows: "My former teacher was afraid we might become the same, and he's jealous now," "You're an entertainer that sells fans. Even if you block me, I'll keep going forward," and "What I do is music, what you do is politics."
A rep from AOMG stated, "Jay Park himself wrote the lyrics, so the agency itself has nothing to say. We can't confirm what the lyrics are about," and JYPE has officially responded, "We have no opinion on the matter."
What are your thoughts? Do you think Jay Park's lyrics are about J.Y. Park?
