It's been a couple weeks since I've received a special package from the beautiful ladies of Beauteque and have had plenty of time to use the majority, if not all, the products from their September BB Bag and Mask Maven subscription bags. This was my first ever subscription bag and despite my worries of receiving products that I had no initial information on, it was surprisingly pleasant being able to try so many beauty products that I would have never done so if it weren't for Beauteque.

What's in the bag?
Hanaka Eye Patch (Collagen + Aloe)
It was clear that it was working since a minute into putting on the mask, I felt a tingling sensation underneath my eyes. I was in desperate need of a solution to get rid of these designer bags that I've acquired from hours of staring at the screen and sleeping less than the needed amount. Once I took them off, my eyes felt refreshed in general, but I didn't see much improvement when it came to my dark circles.
Overall: mask was really easy to put on and it felt refreshing on my tired, dry eyes. I definitely recommend this mask to others and I might purchase them separately myself.

Hanaka Hydro gel Lip Mask
Again a product that I was desperately in need of. Especially during cold weather, my lips start withering and looking crusty. Nothing is less attractive than dry lips and no lip balm did it justice. When I saw that there was a lip mask in the Mask Maven, I was extremely excited to finally be able to use the product for the first time and the timing could not have been more perfect.
Overall: I loved this product. The scent was pleasant and light on the nose and it really did it's job of moisturizing my lips. I will definitely purchase these for future use. For the price, it exceeds what it can do, however the only downside is that you might have to apply it more than once a week especially when you have really dry lips like I do.

Baviphat Money Sheet Masks
First impression, I was immediately drawn by the unique packaging. I've never seen anything like it and low-key gave three slow claps for the package designing team behind this. Being a frequent sheet mask user, I was really glad to see so many of them included in the Mask Maven package. I also felt somewhat rich for about 2 seconds of my life.
You really can't go wrong with sheet masks since most of them, despite the fancy ingredients, just help moisturize your face. The one strange thing about these money sheet masks were that it has a flap that covers your eyes. Like, are you supposed to cover your eyes too…? I just flipped them upwards so I can enjoy the drama that I was watching at the time.
Overall: Fun packaging, but nothing special. Plus, I have no idea what to do with this mysterious eye flap thing. (Tip: make sure you don't wash off the remnants of the sheet mask and pat in the nutrients until it is fully absorbed into your skin for maximum effect.)

Aritaum Aloe No Wash Cleansing Water
This is one of the best products that was included in the September BB Bag and I've been using it nonstop ever since I've received it. The product itself is explained as a product that ensures a deep, soothing clean and removal of makeup without drying out your skin and it honestly did just that. I usually don't put on much makeup during the week, but on those rare occasions that I do, the product helped in removing all the makeup pore deep without irritating my face.
Overall: Great for a girl in her early 20s who doesn't want to take off their makeup after a long night. Takes less than a minute to completely remove all kinds of makeup thick and thin.

Inner Kallia Special Care Modelling Pack ($6 value)
This modelling mask takes a bit of time and I definitely don't recommend it for people who are all about the 'ain't nobody got time for that' train like myself. I am all about efficiency to the point where I think eating takes too much time out of my day. Yeah, it's that serious.
This modelling pack requires you to make the gel mask by mixing the powder with water. Then, you have to leave it on your face for about 15-20 minutes. The result is amazing however, making your face baby-butt smooth and moisturized.
Overall: Great result, too much effort.

Aqua Gems Herbal Soothing Cream ($18 value)
This was one of the last products that I used simply because I didn't think that I needed a product to sooth my skin necessarily… Until one night when my face seemed a bit flushed so I decided that maybe that the sky was telling me that it's time for me to use this product.
Overall: Product feels very smooth on skin and keeps it moisturized without leaving it sticky. The product can be used for various purposes (face, skin, body, etc).

Secret Key Secret Kiss Holic Pigment Glitter ($8 Value)
First off, I am not much of a makeup person to begin with so you already know where this is going. The product has great color and pigment overall for fun nights. Therefore, it's really easy to overdo the amount that you use. It's not an easy use for makeup rookies and definitely hard to master, but easy to learn. According to various online sources and beauty gurus, you are recommended to use sticky glitter primer in order to make it long-lasting throughout your day/night.
Overall: Great color, long lasting, efficient packaging, but a product that is hard to master.
Rating: 4/5
Verdict:
There were obviously pros and cons to both BB Bag and Mask Maven. The cons would be the fact that there will be at least one or two products that won't fit your specific skin type and at least one that you will never get to using due to pure laziness.
However, both subscription bags are fun and it keeps you guessing on what you're going to get the following month. I would suggest Mask Maven for those who are sheet mask junkies like myself and BB Bag for those who are more into collecting tons of makeup products.
