A Romanian photographer by the name of Mihaela Noroc has been garnering attention for her pictures of North Korean beauties which she shared on her Instagram and personal blog.
Noroc, after saving up enough money, embarked on a journey to discover and capture the beauties around the world with her camera. She named the project 'The Atlas of Beauty', and has since visited over thirty countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, fulfilling her wish to 'map' the world's beauties via the faces of women of varying ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. One of the countries she visited for her project was the hermit kingdom of North Korea.

Norhoc explained, "North Korea was a mysterious land that I really wanted to visit. The North Korean women possessed a unique beauty that was untouched. There were a lot of women who weren't familiar with modern fashion so I saw a lot of them dressed in traditional garb. My trip to North Korea was a precious one."
The pictures below chronicle Norhoc's quest to find the natural beauties within North Korea. Check them out and view more of Norhoc's gorgeous photos @mihaelanoroc!
