Red Velvet's Seulgi talks about being a trainee for 7 years

She shared, "I was a trainee for 7 years since I was in grade 7. I was a trainee at the same time as f(x)'s Krystal and EXO's Kai."

The MCs asked, "When Krystal and Kai debuted, did you go through a hard time?"

Seulgi replied, "I didn't go through a hard time. When f(x) debuted, I had only trained for about 2 years. I thought that I should try harder and thought, 'I will debut too', but that turned into 7 years."

When asked if she ever deviated or acted rebellious during her trainee years, Seulgi admitted, "There's a type of 'deviating' we did as trainees. We said we would go to Han River to exercise, but we'd go eat ramen instead. We're not supposed to eat ramen. We ate ramen and rode our bikes."

Seulgi might be sugarcoating it a bit when she said training for that long was not difficult, so kudos to her for her positive attitude!
