An unfortunate incident involving the passing of a female high school student who jumped from the veranda of her apartment after a petty argument with her father was reported.
According Daegu Dalsung Police Agency, around 9:52pm (KST) on October 6, 16-year-old 'A' jumped from the veranda of her apartment unit which was located on the sixth floor. 'A' was transferred to the hospital right away for treatment, but she passed from cardiac arrest around 11:15pm the same day.

'A' was said to have been irritated because her mom was ten minutes late to pick her up at the end of the school day, which left her no choice but to go home alone. When she expressed her annoyance, 'A's father chastised her for whining, and 'A' reacted by abruptly jumping off the veranda.
Police are currently investigating the details of the incident.
