There does seem to be development of feelings on Sung Joon's end towards Hye Jin, who is reminding him more and more of the childhood Kim Hye Jin that he was in love with. Through a couple of unexpected (and totally predictable) turn of events--such as the time Hye Jin trespasses his home and when she ends up in Sung Joon's office closet--the two cross paths again and again in the most unnaturally natural ways possible. Sung Joon doesn't know why but he finds himself strangely drawn to the strange freelancer he had only considered an annoying, gnat-like existence in his life.
Idk why I'm so into her now...she's different from the other girls!
Call me hot stuff.
The scene that is most telling of Sung Joon's growing feelings for Hye Jin is near the very end when Sung Joon, half-delusional, touches Hye Jin's face with his hands and whispers her name. I know this was meant to be touching scene and all but the only thing I could think about was how dangerous--not to mention unsanitary--it was for them to be sitting in the middle of the road. In the rain. Smack dab in the middle of oncoming traffic. About to be hit by an eighteen wheeler.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww........
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Don't try this at home, kids!
Shin Hyuk, who is the only ray of hope for this drama, continues his tomfoolery, making derpy faces that I had so much fun taking screen shots of. After much rigor and stubborn tenacity, he manages to befriend Hye Jin and wins her heart over. Hye Jin, who found out that Shin Hyuk lost his younger sister to some unknown tragedy, even offers to be his surrogate sister, which was an offer that Shin Hyuk just couldn't refuse.
Gotcha now!
Fate also brings together Shin Hyuk and Ha Ri, who will probably, most likely, eventually fall for each other, if this drama keeps up with its shopworn and predictable tendencies. I'm getting upset just thinking about it because I'm currently rooting for 'Jjaksen' and Shin Hyuk. Even though I know that it's rare for a main lead to fall for the secondary lead, I may just throw a temper tantrum...At least Sung Joon isn't as douche-y as before.
I'm sorry Siwon.
I'm so sorry.
so so sorry...
wait, no I'm not.
....dis birch...
oh god, what have I signed up for...
I forgot to mention the MOST important development in the drama so far: Shin Hyuk and Sung Joon's bromance.
Every fan girl's dream.
OH EM GEE. This is perfect for our fan fic.
The two have undeniable chemistry, don't you think?
