4minute's Jiyoon, who joined the lineup of contestants on Mnet's rap survival show 'Unpretty Rapstar 2' in an attempt to make a name for herself, has thus far failed to live up to expectations--both her own and those around her.
Jiyoon had joined the program with a battle cry that went, "I will be the champion," but was only met with derision from the other contestants. On the 7th episode, the idol earned the lowest score in the team battle she participated in, along with Exy and Kasper. Some people are pointing out that Jiyoon only degraded her image by appearing on the program.
A rep from Jiyoon's label, Cube Entertainment, revealed toedaily, "After her first filming, Jiyoon is aware that the results were disappointing. She is also aware that the reaction from the viewers isn't all that great. But she is preparing even harder for a complete turnaround. Jiyoon isn't the type to give up midway simply because she didn't like how something turned out. She isn't feeling downcast either. She is determined to show her real talent in the remaining episodes."
