Reports came out recently that four circulators of the rumors about actress Lee Si Young's alleged sex tape (found to be false) have been summarily indicted.
The Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office revealed on September 9 that they have summarily indicted reporters A (36) and B (30) as well as National Assembly Aides C (36) and D (31) for 3 million KRW (~ $2,500 USD) each.
According to prosecution, A had exchanged rumors as if they were true with current reporter E (33) before circulating them on SNS. E had learned about the "existence of Lee Si Young's sex tape" during a gathering with his friends near the end of June and believed it to be true without confirmation, proceeding to post untruths online. Eleven of his fellow reporters and two of his friends are being charged with circulating false information.

Regarding to reports about this, her agency rep disclosed recently, "We are waiting for the results in court." They also revealed they did not desire punishment for the circulators besides those main four. The rep said, "For simply delivering [this to us], everyone would become a subject of punishment, meaning our company workers and people who sent us [evidence and the like] will also become subjects of punishment. That's why we are unable to punish everybody."
