J.Y. Park opened up about alleged sajaegi going on at the major agencies on the September 30th episode of JTBC's 'Newsroom'.
If you remember, Yang Hyun Suk recently addressed reports of sajaegi, a banned practice that involves companies buying large amounts of albums or streaming music by its own artists in order to manipulate music chart rankings, on the same show. J.Y. Park commented, "The four major agencies (including SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment) don't have problems with sajaegi as far as I know."
He added, "Album sajaegi is something that an individual or a celebrity himself can do, so the possibilities are open. You have to have a broad investigation because anyone from the composer, writer, and singer can do it."
