The husband of the woman in the video told 'Seoul Shinmun' through an interview on September 1, "The one who is suffering the most is my wife. It's wrongful to consider Gary and the man in the video as the sole victims only because Gary's official statements were printed."
The husband further stated that his wife and the family members are going through a difficult time due to the leaking of the video. He said, "It's only been three months since our marriage but something like this occurred so we even thought about getting a divorce. But I decided to stay by my wife's side because her thoughts may stray in the wrong direction."
Currently, the husband is receiving calls from acquaintances as the video kept spreading. He resolved, "I gathered courage so that something like this won't ever happen again. I want to capture the people who took the video and leaked it so that they may be punished. I didn't know that I would suffer this sort of ill fate. There have been more women who are the victims of voyeurism. I found out that the sentence [for that kind of crime] is very mild. Now that I'm a victim, I realized that this is a crime that is as scary as murder. I hope that [whoever did this] is severely punished."
