Sina wrote about the issue on their blog, revealing that they had been very excited to interview the idol. But that the idol did not show even though over an hour had passed. Tao's side had simply then sent a text explaining that Tao's hair and makeup was running late, so that he could not come.
They also apparently told Sina, "We're very busy, there are many outlets who are requesting for exclusive interviews."
The news especially caught traction as local celebrity figure and son of a wealthy business man, Wang Sicong, personally voiced out on his Weibo, criticizing Tao, after hearing about the matter.
Tao's manager, however, stepped up to explain that none of this had been Tao's fault, saying, "It wasn't Tao's fault. Due to our mistake, Tao is being misunderstood."
Meanwhile, Tao has kicked off a successful start, selling 670,000 copies of his solo album within the first week. He's also said to be getting ready to hold mini concerts around China as well!
